The Grosvenor Museum and Art Gallery in Chester has an exhibition of paintings from their collection. Another chance to see 'The Karlskirche Stairway to Heaven’ - it's the painting they acquired for their permanent collection last year. It’s also an opportunity to see Modern Watercolours from the Grosvenor store of paintings.

I'm honoured to have been awarded First Prize at The Grosvenor Museum's 12th Open Art Exhibition

This year 206 artworks from a submission of 567 were chosen by selectors;

Maxine Bristow, Programme Leader MA Fine Art, University of Chester.

John Renshaw, Emeritus Professor of Fine Art, University of Chester.

Peter Boughton, Keeper of Art, West Cheshire Museums.

I was presented with First Prize by Sarah Maxfield, Area Director North, Arts Council England, who opened the exhibition.

The Private View Evening was very well attended and it was great to meet so many creative people.

Congratulations to Peter Boughton and The Grosvenor team for such a diverse and interesting exhibition.

The ‘Karlskirche Stairway to Heaven’ has been awarded Highly Commended at the Grosvenor Museums 11th Open Art Exhibition in Chester. I’m particularly honoured because Peter Boughton FSA, Keeper of Art, has informed me that the Grosvenor has decided to purchase the painting for their permanent collection. I’m so pleased that ‘Karlskirche’ has found such an appreciative home.

You can see ‘Karlskirche Stairway to Heaven’ and an excellent selection of art at the Grosvenor Museum until 17th June 2015, 27, Grosvenor Street, Chester, CH1 2DD.
